A variety of shirts, mugs and other novelties are available at the Testy Copy Editors online store, such as it is. Please note that in keeping with my pledge not to profit in any way from this enterprise, I do not mark up Cafepress merchandise. Above, Washington, D.C., copy editors Terri Rupar and John Newland are "sold" on the classic A.N. Murrell coffee-mug design.

Now available by popular demand: "One of the great things about being a copy editor is freedom from vulgar desire for public recognition" T-shirts.

How about creating a "Try it. It works." shirt? It shouldn't be too difficult, if the image is already loaded.

Thanks!

Unfortunately the image is coffee-mug size, not T-shirt size. I'll see what I can do about making a bigger image, but my resources are limited.

What youngster wouldn't want a Testy Copy Editors T-shirt?

Now available by popular demand at the TCE Shop at Cafepress: black T-shirts for men, women and kids.

Apparently also available in other colors, but who would want that?

PS: E-mail me first and I can send you a $5 coupon "discount." I don't mark up the merchandise but apparently Cafepress does now.

The black shirt looks pretty good. I'm not sure where the box around the logo came from, but it doesn't really bother me.

Is it really also available in seven colors—cardinal, navy, military green, red, royal, brown, and charcoal? And wait, there's also green! (It would be really cool if the shirt came in charcoal with black lettering, just like this board.)

As for the white box on the black shirt, is it possible that the border in the electronic image hasn't been turned off?

Is is available in all those colors. I can make you a custom black-on-charcoal if you want.

I am holding out for the "If It's Crap, Just Change It" shirt.

I don't suppose that could be made available as a mug as well, could it?

I might as well say that at last year's ACES conference I might have been too shy to ever start talking to wordnerdy, except she was wearing a Testy Copy Editors shirt and I made bold to break the ice. Of course she turned out to be a delightful person, and I enjoyed the conference that much more.

This testimonial is entirely voluntary and unpaid.

Thank you, that has made my year. (It's not been much of a year so far.)

Would anyone be interested in more subtle TCE merchandise?

I, for one, don't identify as an editor anymore, but I would wear a shirt that says something oblique like "TCE -- We're watching you."

Subtlety is not our strong suit, but I'll see what I can do.
