There's a nifty baseball quiz here at ESPN.com

Some are easy, some are not. Some are very obscure.

I got 32 of 50.

And for the record, that was without looking anything up. Not saying that makes me a baseball genius or anything (I'm sure many will do better), but I just wanted to clarify ...

I got 29 right. More than I expected but fewer than I should have gotten.

I managed 36, and that's with a ridiculous number of guesses turning out right.

Neat quiz (except for that question about Vin Scully's alma mater). I got 35, thanks to a lot of good guesses.

Very neat quiz. Thanks, Biggdbo. I got 37 right without looking anything up but admittedly punting on a few questions. And if it had been an all-essay quiz, in which the answers were not in front of the test taker, I would have done considerably worse.

Glad you liked it.

Did anyone else happen to compare their answers to those of the MLB'ers and ESPN folks?

If I remember correctly, only one player scored better than 35. ESPN personalities fared considerably better.

There are times I really scare myself when I think about all the important stuff I have forgotten which allowed me to score 43. That was thanks to a few lucky guesses and having written a fair number of trivia questions for an annual excursion to Seattle to watch the Mariners play.

Wow--43 is impressive. (Not being sarcastic.)
