Members of the committee, Republicans as well as Democrats, have expressed extreme annoyance recently over not being informed about the explosive photographs depicting abuse that included sexual humilation — a particular outrage in Arab culture. (NYT)
*It might be true, but what is the justification for asserting (here and elsewhere) that Arabs are more offended than, say, the British when forced to simulate sexual acts or get in a naked pile?*

Those hyper-sensitive Arabs. I mean, who among us hasn't been detained for weeks by people with guns, been forced into sexually humiliating positions, and had the photos displayed 24 hours a day around the globe? I just hope the commanding officer obtained a signed and notarized Model Release Form #881/4B for every participant in the photo shoot.
And what about those "explosive" photographs? I know it's a war and all, but does everything explode these days?
