Pardon me if this is a stupid question. If you know how to handle this, please let me know. I am editing a piece that refers to different styles of buckles in airplanes. There are two varieties: a fold-open variety and an end-closure variety. How would I handle a sentence that reads ".. had only recognized fold-open style buckles"? It's not "fold-open-style," is it? Any advice would be appreciated. For space conservation reasons I don't have too many rewriting options.
