In meticulous detail, the 567-page report, including 116 pages of detailed footnotes in tiny, eye-straining type, rewrote the history of Sept. 11, 2001, correcting the historical record in ways large and small and shattering myths that might otherwise have been accepted as truth for generations. (New York Times)
***Why is is necessary to keep emphasizing that the report has 567 pages, including 116 pages of footnotes? It's not. ***

Which page is this on?
WASHINGTON - The Sept. 11 commission's final report says there's no evidence suggesting President Bill Clinton ordered airstrikes on Osama bin Laden targets to distract attention from his affair with Monica Lewinsky.
But the report says the affair, coupled with other issues, likely affected later discussions about using force against the terrorist leader.

That's to show you that the reporter read every page (or at least flipped through them)...bet he would rather have had the Bush "executive summary."
