Within moments Mr. Hussein entered the room, his hands unfettered, wearing a gray pinstripe jacket, white shirt, brown trousers and black shoes.
(NYT).
*By the way, I heard an interesting factoid on NPR: An American flag (but not an Iraqi flag) was visible in the courtroom. I didn't see that detail in the Times story. Was it in others?*

Isn't Martha supposed to be sporting her pinstripes eventually? Or at least soothing jailhouse orange?

Fashion update: After six months' imprisonment, his hair was unkempt, his beard gray and straggly, and his favored Italian hand-stitched suits replaced by cheap store-bought jacket and pants provided by the Americans for the occasion.
*I know we frown on sartorial descriptions of suspects. Would you make an exception in this case? If so, does it belong in the 2nd graf (that's where I pulled above quote from NYT). *

It could be persimmon, it could be melon, it could be rush, it could be sunburst, it could be moneyed mango but never, never just plain orange. Not for Martha.
