Next time someone tells you times are tough point them in the direction of this item from Editor and Publisher.<p>[acknowledgement to my employer for bringing the item to the attention of staff)

We non-tycoons must bear in mind that newspapers have three times:
1. Hard times.
2. The times just after hard times; spending on staffs must be kept down or reduced.
3. The times just before hard times; spending on staffs must be kept down or reduced.
