Slate joins the list of political correctors who find the name of D.C.'s football team so offensive that it shall no longer soil the breakfast-table. Slate's [soon-to-be-former] owner also publishes a daily newspaper that, mired in the conventions of "reporting" and "journalism" and "reality," sees nothing wrong with identifying a team by its name.
