Joined: Mon Nov 14, 2005 3:47 pm Posts: 4655 Location: New York City	Anyone else work for a paper, once, that had a rule that X could award Z to Y, but Y could not be "awarded" Z, just as X could give gift Z to Y or Y could receive gift Z from X, but Y could not be "gifted" Z? [As for the fussbudgets who wanted to reserve award to instances of exceptional merit, and to distinguish award from reward, well, those were lost causes already.] Five students awarded scholarships [ACES]
