You can probably guess how helpful Wikipedia is.

Go with first preference in whatever dictionsry your publisher uses, unless tgeir is a style book entry over-ruling it.

I get to rule because I'm writing the style guide.

We generally follow U.S. spelling and style. Webster's favors "road show." But the term bubbles up much more often in Asia than in North America. Maybe it was imported from Australia? Sometimes it seems that every junket, IPO sales trip and out-of-the-capital seminar gets saddled with this term.

I think I'm going with the single word.

Roadshow one word is the Australian spelling, reinfoced in local minds because Village Roadshow is a major entertainment company. Roadshow as one word kicks up no matches at Bartelby.com, a powerful argument for you to stick with Webster's. Myriad departures from dictionaries can make in-house style difficult to achieve.

Dear Shim,

A little advice: Don't ever, ever consult Wikipedia as a "source" for anything. It's like a football pool...for amusement only.

Yeah, I know, but it was a good example of the confusion about the spelling ... and the dearth of references.

In the U.S., the term seems to be mostly associated with theatrical events. That's not how it's usually used in Asia, in my experience.
