By Samantha Maiden, staff writers and wires

LABOR'S plan to expand compulsory workplace conditions would be a return to a "one size fits all" model and a disaster for Australian workers, said the Government. Labor not promising 38-hour week
January 04, 2007 04:15pm
Article from: AAP

LABOR has refused to promise regulating to protect the 38-hour working week, with the party's industrial relations spokeswoman Julia Gillard saying she was not in the business of heavy-handed regulation. Ms Gillard, the party's Deputy Leader, said a report that Labor was seeking to enshrine the 38-hour working week was not the truth of the party's policy.
