This from a newly appointed minor comp rugby league coach in Mr Hellglitter's part of the world.

''I won't know how we're looking until I
know what blokes we've got,'' '
''You've got to have the cattle, and hopefully
we've got a lot of guys keen to go.''

I'm semi-reliably informed, it's an American expression. One worth adopting methinks.

We tend toward "horses," not "cattle."
No "blokes."
No one is "keen," but our football players somehow give "110 percent."

Another American expression: "He's all hat and no cattle."
