	I've been in Asia since 1991. Never going back. Japan for 5 years, where I worked at the Daily Yomiuri in Tokyo, copy desk, rewriting, reporting; and now 8 years in Taiwan, worked for Taipei Times, China Post, Taiwan News and several English-language magazines, government publications and chamber of commerce magazines. Friend of mine in Guam, worked for paper there, went to Cambodia to work for English language daily there, then became Jakarta buerau chief for DPA, German Press Agency, now is with Newsweek Asia edition as correspondent. Former desk mate at Taipei newspaper, copy desk, went to Bangkok, became stringer for Time, then fulltime correspondent for Time Asia. Lots of opportunities in Asia at English-language newspapers, magazines and government publications. It's open territory. Jobs open up every day.
