What does "all out" mean? I'm trying to piece this cricket stuff together but it's a slow process.

It esentially means that 10 batters are out, akin to getting three outs in a baseball inning. More detail, hopefully not too complex, here.
[ July 05, 2004: Message edited by: Paul Wiggins ]

Paul, you'll be happy to know I've finally found a way to expose myself to cricket:
www.procricket.com
It's an eight-team U.S. professional cricket league. I only discovered it this morning. Apparently they've condensed the game into three-hour matches digestible by Americans.
They have a team on Staten Island. I'm going to try for this Friday's match.

Enjoy. Note though that the most fascinating part of this distorted version of cricket is not when
the batsmen hits the ball out of the park but when the bowler beats the batsman but the batsman still stays in. Bizzarely, cricket is at its mi\ost fascinating when nothing happens.
