Our tabloid neighbours upstairs are trying to work while a movie crew has taken over their newsroom.
Something with Claudia Karvan as the lead...

If it was my newsroom you could hear the sound of me telling them where to go all the way from Maryland. That's a night shoot job.

Oh, no it's not. That's when most of the subs work... let the reporters have 'em.

Guy set on fire in a fast-moving wheelchair whizzed past.
Yes, we were alerted to what was to happen and had a photographer ready. Otherwise we would have been heard Down Under. Color photo ran on section front, if i remember correctly. Would hate to have been caught off-guard by that.
Am told that a few months ago scenes for a documentary about newspapers were taped inside the newsroom. Another member might know something about that.
[ June 21, 2004: Message edited by: Wayne Countryman ]

Once took part in a documentary about a colleague wth a hearing impairment. All very interesting, with fancy rails for the cameras and all. I had to pretend to me, the hardest role I ever played. And we had to clean up the desks in shot. Not because any neat freakness or corporate image but because it was thought any ckutter would distract from the story.
