Missing teenager found after riding his bike across Australia
Sophie Tedmanson in Sydney

You could call it The Curious Incident of the Boy and his Mountain Bike.

Like Christopher Boone, the character in Mark Haddon’s award-winning novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, a young Brisbane teenager with a mild form of Asperger’s syndrome decided to embark on an adventure – and, without telling his parents, rode his bicycle almost 1000km along the east coast of Australia.

Where to start...?
