"Not a chance," the slugger said. **Let's see. Howard turns 28 in November. He has 111 HRs and is on a pace to hit another 16 this season. So if he were to break Foxx's record, he'd need to average about 75 home runs over the next five seasons. I think Barry's right on this point. Why even raise the possibility that Howard could break this record? Maybe he'll hit a home run with a breadstick, too.**

Joined: Mon Feb 07, 2005 6:47 pm Posts: 1734 Location: Washington	Alex Rodriguez is and ultimately will be remembered as the greatest baseball player in history. Ryan Howard is more of a Cecil Fielder type — he'll have five or six good season, get overpaid for years after that, and pass into oblivion at around the 400-homer mark. In my opinion.
