Oed, you're the TCE Dodgers fan, right? What's your opinion of what the team has done this offseason, with Grady Little in the manager's office, Bill Mueller at third, Nomar Garciaparra at first and Derek Lowe in the rotation? And Cesar Izturis, defensive whiz at shortstop, sans employment when he comes back from the DL, with the arrival of the $13 million man, Rafael Furcal? You turned out to be right with your prediction in the Paul DePodesta thread that Milton Bradley wouldn't be with the Dodgers next year. Billy Beane seems happy to have picked Bradley up, but we'll see how long that lasts. In today's Newsday, baseball columnist Jon Heyman writes that privately MLB officials regret giving the franchise to the McCourts. Bill Madden in the Daily News has expressed a similar opinion, mainly that the McCourts are clearly in over their heads in terms of finances and operational smarts. |

Mostly, I think McCourt's chauffeur needs to drink a lot more. |

Then again, the McCourts can't be said to have gone completely off the deep end until they try to replace Vin Scully with Jerry Remy. |
