Heard some numbers I wasn't aware of the other day: 331 homers, more than any other second baseman. Eight straight 100-RBI seasons, ditto.

Just throwin' it out there.

I hesitate to call Kent a second baseman. He's more like a hitter who happened to play second base. No range, adequate glove. I'd put him in the class of very-good-but-not-great players -- definitely not HOF.

Anybody feel strongly the other way?
