From the clips I saw of his postgame comments, he was pretty humble, if you can imagine that. He could well have gloated, though, given the way the New York media have roasted him for not putting up A-Rod-like offensive numbers since his arrival in the Bronx.
Yet it's nights like this that sort of remind fans who is playing third base because there have been far too many nights when A-Rod has either taken the collar or got his extra-base hits in garbage time.
He still can't pitch, but if A-Rod can have a few more nights even close to this one this year, especially in the postseason, the Yanks can be a lot more dangerous.
And, yes, I know Rodriguez had a great ALDS and first three games of the ALCS last year.
