Alex Sanchez of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays has been suspended 10 days for testing positive for steroids, becoming the first player to be penalized and publicly named for violating Major League Baseball's revamped policies on performance-enhancing drugs.

Well, I'll say this: If there's one team that should be allowed to use steroids, it's the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
My initial reaction was: If the Rays are using steroids, why do they still lose 157 games a year? Then it occurred to me that, while "everyone's doing it," the Devil Rays can't afford the "clear" and the "cream" to avoid detection.

Growing up, my baseball heroes were guys like Mickey Mantle, Billy Martin, even Babe Ruth... They were DRUNKS! They had to OVERCOME their drug! Baseball has to go back to its roots -- forget about the performance enhancing substances, bring back the performance HINDERING substances. If not for me.... do it for the children.
