Edmonds: 1 for 14
Pujols: 0 for something in double digits (I forgot and don't want to see it on record)
2-5 hitters: 0 for 30,000,000,000
Innings where Cardinals lead in World Series: 0 of 36
Outs where Cardinals lead in World Series: 0 of 108
Last Cardinals World Series game win: 1987
Sigh. Was just one win out of the question?
[ October 28, 2004: Message edited by: Niko Dugan ]

86 years from now, Niko, you'll have forgotten all about it.

That's pretty much the same thing I think about the 1966 Series.
(Yeah, I'm still embarrassed about it. You never really get over scoring two runs in four games. And then Sandy Koufax retires. Christ, why didn't they just shoot my dog, too?)

I feel your pain....from the start of the World Series in 1903 until 1980, the Phillies won a grand total of one Series game. I think they won the opener in 1915, and then the Whiz Kids got swept by the hated Yankees in 1950. Those were the only Phillies appearances in the series until their win in 1980.

Or was Wilson rung up with the bat on his shoulder?
