From an Aug. 18 New York *Times* story about Gary Sheffield's aching shoulder:<p>When Williams was asked if Jobe had said Sheffield's injuries could heal faster if he took some games off, Williams said: "We didn't talk about that. Gary is a trooper . He wants to play."<p>Of course, the correct spelling is "trouper." |

Wonder how many players have "trooped" themselves out of a few seasons, or better seasons, by coming back too soon from an injury or playing through one. |
