Joined: Fri Jun 20, 2003 12:01 am Posts: 37 Location: NYC area	Took eleven months to get an interview, but I got the job and I'm thrilled.<p>My colleagues are miserable like the book of Ecclesiastes, though, and it's driving me nuts.<p>No need to be miserable. No excuse for being a crankypants. It's a frickin' deadline. That's what we live to beat. I don't understand them.

Obadiah (I think) advised that when you go to a neighbour's house for dinner and drink too much, "go outside and vomit". Excellent newsroom advice. I have never come across the passage in any other translation. If anyone out there has it, I'd love to have the details. Congrats on the job. Welcome to the sweatshop.

His speech patterns remind me of Eeyore, from "Winnie the Pooh." <p>"Oh, bother!"<p>I'll give him something to whine about... (I'll fantasize about it, anyway.)
