Well, OK, but I've seen plenty of video that certainly appears grainy, even if that's not the proper technical description. BTW, what would you call it instead?

Speaking of which, why does the AP move stills from videos? On breaking news, video captures are usually what they move first. You would think their still photogs on the scene could transmit as quickly. The quality sucks on the videos. That's why I never use a photo on a Space Station story, because all NASA sends is video.
