The president was particularly disturbed at having had to learn from news reports this week about the scope of misconduct documented in an Army investigative report completed in March, according to the official, who refused to be named so he could speak more candidly. (Washington Post)
***Tell you what. We'll use your name and you can be a tiny bit less candid.***

Wait a minute: I thought Bush didn't read newspapers.

From a Buffalo News column:
Although the U.S. has been investigating the prison abuses since January, Bush admitted Wednesday to ignorance of any pictures until he saw them, "on TV."
The column quotes longtime Middle East correspondent Robin Wright, whose reporting for the Washington Post probably doesn't get read in the Oval Office.
Buffalo News
[ May 07, 2004: Message edited by: Wayne Countryman ]
