Does anyone have thoughts about AP's style on the use of incorporated. It appears everywhere, and surprisingly, AP doesn't seem to follow its own style.
The entry:
incorporated -- Abbreviate and capitalize as Inc. when used as part of a corporate name. It usually is not needed, but when it is used, do not set it off with commas.<p>So, when should Inc. be used and when is it not necessary?

I've used the equivalents on stories about civil cases involving a number of companies in a group.
