University of Texas professor Sheldon Landsberger says he didn't write a column that appeared under his byline in the Austin American-Statesman. ...

Aren't op-ed pieces that appear under the bylines of politicians and other panjandrums often written by PR staff? Not to mention the phony quotes that appear in press releases. Why do we print that stuff?
