University of Texas professor Sheldon Landsberger says he didn't write a column that appeared under his byline in the Austin American-Statesman. ...
Landsberger writes in Tuesday's American-Statesman: "In my exuberance to have it published I failed to state that it was not written by me."

Aren't op-ed pieces that appear under the bylines of politicians and other panjandrums often written by PR staff? Not to mention the phony quotes that appear in press releases. Why do we print that stuff?

Heh. You gotta just "love" those phony quotes that go on and on and on and on and on ... for goodness' sakes, if a person had really said such a mouthful, they'd likely have dropped dead from lack of oxygen.
Gatekeeper
-30-
