When I worked slot, I had to contend with a rim editor who often tried to slip double-entendres into the paper.

Senator underwent a successful prostate cancer surgery a few weeks back, my headline until just before deadline was "Johnson surgery successful." A small eruption of laughter tipped me off something might be wrong, but I still didn't see it. I'm usually at least a bit sensitive in such cases, but even the most careful editor can, from time to time, forget to activate their dirty mind filter.
