Joined: Sun Mar 02, 2003 1:01 am Posts: 598 Location: The Herald in Everett, WA	From our friends at AP:<p>SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Research showing that bald mice can grow hair after being implanted with a type of stem cell could lead to a cure for baldness, a group of scientists says.<p>Hmm. Is baldness "cured," as if it were a disease? I'm erring on the side of caution, eliminating "cured" and writing around it.

Furthermore, there is no biological need for baldness. I think that makes the latter more of a "disease."<p>A few minutes of reflection on the question have led me to the conclusion that "cure for baldness" is a reasonable usage.<p>[ March 14, 2004: Message edited by: Matthew Grieco ]</p>
