dog-bite victims to sue owners of

Bumf, my deputy editor was educated and worked in Kingfisher, OK and is mystified - to put it mildly - about how this yarn got on to AP. Have standards changed over the years?

Bumf, this is moot by now for several reasons. But the original lede you posted made me wonder, How many pets have rap sheets? And which kinds of pets?

Actually, I think they're called "arf" sheets, because they're arf-ully hard to find for pets.
