Why is it that folks who write about real estate never bother to go down to the public libary and spend an hour or so reading about district or state architecture?
Here's an example ... The fibro
and iron cottage has a few
classic ornate features.
*No it doesn't. Fibro homes were first built here in the 1950s and the adjectives one would use to describe them have should not pass the eyes of you polite ladies and gentlemen*
Here's internationally applicable lesson: the obligation to read doesn't stop when they hand over your degree.
Here endeth the rant. I feel much better now.

Brother Wiggins, an aside if I may.
What in the hell is going on with your pols? Gad, last week it was Latham running his mouth. Now it's Andrew Bartlett getting into a scuffle -- on camera -- with a female senator (according to AP she's a senator -- Daily Telegraph says she's an MP) over some allegedly purloined wine. And Latham had the brass to criticize Bartlett. Someone lose the key to the bin or what?
In any event, they're providing me with some very interesting and amusing briefs....

Fair suck of the sav mate, it's always been that way.
See insults made by former Prime Minister Paul Keating
On the constitutional matter:
Federal Parliament is made up of the Senate (senators) and the House of Representives. In theory both senators and Members of the House of rrepresentatives are MPs but the person on the street just uses that for members of the house of Reps..
[ December 07, 2003: Message edited by: Paul Wiggins ]

Well, Keating's a colourful bloke, no? Wish sometimes we had some like that 'stead of the grey men we usually turn out. Last time we had a PM with a real flair for language was Trudeau, who said things like f*ck you in the House and then told the stunned and disbelieving members he actually said fuddle duddle. He was also quick with a quip: When he became PM, someone asked him if he was going to give up the Mercedes. He said which? The car or the woman? Of course, the current inhabitant of the office once wandered into a crowd in a fit of high dudgeon to throttle a heckler in front of assorted media types. That made some of us kind of proud for a while.
As for the constitutional info, thanks. Does your Senate actually have power? Ours is a sort of sober (yeah, right) place to review legislation passed by the Commons. No real power except to slow things down, and since the PM fills any vacancies as they come up, guess how much stuff actually gets slowed down. Or even soberly reviewed, for that matter.
Up the Colonies....
