Twinning? If memory serves me, in Syracuse we "tripleted" John Gardner, Princess Grace and some other famous guy who died the same day. Page 1. Hed:
A Poet, A Princess, A Politician
I guess now I have to figure out who the third person who died that day was...help me out here, Mark M. or Pete Z...

That is the only explanation I can offer for searching and finding that it was Bashir Gemayel, Lebanon's president-elect.
After wasting 15 minutes searching for deaths, I now have to go search for my life. I doubt that I will find it at Google, but it's worth a shot.

At the is this bold, six-col. off-lead hed:
Death claims Candy Man and Muppet Man
(We put Cash on front, with Ritter mugshot at top of standard promo box)

At our afternoon paper, where the news was fresh on Friday, Johnny Cash was the A1 centerpiece (with '92 performance photo with June CC) and Ritter was mugged and refer'd at the top of our standard lefthand rail.
