I think what you want is "me" instead of "I" -- here it looks like you need the objective case

Me is correct, I believe. Try reconstructing the sentence, and you'll see "me" works best. E.g.: "For me, a casual observer,..." or "Causual observers, including me,..." <p>Ron

Dipped into a few reference books. Apparently there is no agreement (no pun intended). Good writers have used both nominative and objective pronouns after "such as." My feeling is that "me" works better in this case because it refers back to the object of a prepositional phrase. Maybe one of you has a better reference book.
