With two teenagers at home and a sluggish job market, the possibility of a strike does not sit well with Goodyear mechanic Greg Collins. (AP)

I can almost see how some longer sentences confuse their writers, though I'd say it's best to recast if the reporter can't follow his own train of thought. And certainly, an editor should catch it.<p>A more grievous example from the state AP today:<p>If convicted, prosecutors have vowed to seek the death penalty.<p>How can anyone write that?
