In the entertainment section of my very own paper (and yes we object, but cooler minds have prevailed):<p> "I confess I do not yet actually own the Led Zeppelin two-DVD set of lovingly assembled and restored live film footage, but I have been assured by no less an authority than Mojo magazine that it's the 'mutt's nuts.' "

It was 'fun.' And the reporter 'just liked it.' Which, some days, seems to be an honest-to-God good reason here.<p>My (failed) argument: If you're trying to say something is good, you don't call it something that must surely stink.
