Why are the media puffing up someone who apparently has no standing in Iraq? An example of media manipulation?*

The "opposition group" is the Iraqi National Congress, HQ'd in London and existing at least as far back as 1998. Not exactly a ragtag bunch of zealots. Chalabi has had support from military and CIA officials. Also a lot of detractors. He's known for a lot of self-promotion, too.
[ May 07, 2003: Message edited by: SusanV ]
