These people are delusional. And they'll probably get plenty of applicants who want to work for pennies an hour. At journalismjobs.com:

Quote:
Demand Studios is recruiting experienced freelance editors and proofreaders to help copy edit our vast and rapidly growing library of informative articles. Content published on Demand Studios reaches a large, passionate audience that desires high quality writing and pinpoint accuracy.

As a Demand Studios copy editor, you can edit articles at your own pace and on a wide variety of topics. We currently publish hundreds of articles a day, so there is almost never a shortage of work available. All work is submitted and managed via our online content management system.

We pay a flat fee per article (starting at $2.50 per copyedit) and process all payments on a weekly basis via PayPal.

To bad there are no minimum wage rules for jobs like this one.

I dunno, seems to me you can run enough articles through spellcheck in an hour at $2.50/ea. to earn yourself a pretty decent amount...

Yeah, if the articles are only a few hundred words apiece, I could probably whiz through 10 or more in an hour, which would match my minimum freelance rate.
