Description:

The Daily Transcript, San Diego's only daily business newspaper is seeking a Copy Editor who is knowledgeable in AP style. This person will be responsible for reading copy for both the print publication and the website www.sddt.com. Duties include close reading of stories for internal logic and thematic consistency as well for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage. Copy editors also must assume a range of tasks, such as organizing special sections, finding resources for content and coordinating assignments with columnists & freelancers.

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented multi-tasker. Journalism degree or the equivalent preferred. Local applicants preferred.
