Are you a great copy editor? The Dallas Morning News wants you. We have openings on our news copy desk and are looking for someone who loves words, writes excellent headlines and cutlines, knows style, grammar and usage well, and can spot and fix holes in stories. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives under deadline pressure and likes a collaborative work environment. Two years of copy editing experience at a professional daily newspaper is preferred, but we'll consider less-experienced candidates who've had copy editing internships at major metropolitan papers. (ACES Jobs)

*** I have to wonder why the Dallas Morning News wouldn't like to have more-experienced candidates. ***

And what if your experience is at an amateur daily newspaper?

Is that a context clue? I thought real papers didn't do that.

Remember when the DMN aspired to copy candidates who had more than an internship as experience?

Ah, yes. The "can you fog a mirror" test. I've worked with some of those.
