You need to be able to generate innovative story ideas, be a stickler for accuracy and making deadline, and be a team player.
You will help lead community news efforts online and in print. In addition to writing, this position involves managing community contributors, bloggers and freeelancers, as well as evaluating and developing new content.
The job generally involves a Monday through Friday schedule, but hours may vary.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in journalism, communications, English or a related field. Applicants must have reporting experience and be able to work under deadline pressure, be flexible in work hours, and must have a vehicle and valid Florida driver license.
