I guess it makes me a bad person for considering them good references as long as they're not in jail. I'll speak highly about your keen eye and sharp wit on here if you're ever hard up, Powderhorn.

He was in his late 30s and the girl was 15 or so. He was my boss at a horrible retail job, but I think the horror of recognizing his picture on the news was just as bad as it would have been if we'd worked at a paper.

I would think conflicts of interests could have been a daily concern. (And I'm familiar with the size of Ashland and Medford. I had family living there for many years.)

I talked with the Medford editor today, and it sounds like Scot rather blatantly misstated the extent of his business dealings. On the plus side, the rape and sodomy charges were dropped.
