Agency Seeks Editor For Wall Street Journal's OpinionJournal.com (Battery Park, NY)
Quote:
We are a full-service human resources provider looking to place a qualified applicant in the position of editor at OpinionJournal.com--The Wall Street Journal editorial page--as well as a new author for its popular and charming column Best of the Web Today.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate must be entrepreneurial, results oriented, skilled at working on a diverse team and able to function in one of the most dynamic environments in the media industry. The job offers unique opportunities to help shape a global news organization's approach to placating its readership of executives, financial industry analysts and capital managers by offering perspectives on current events that reflect their values. The ideal candidate needs to have lots of opinions, but in particular opinions that our readership of business professionals will enjoy reading--either for intellectual stimulation, comfort or pure chuckles.

Please send your resume along with a cover letter and salary requirements. Applications without salary requirements may not be considered: that's capitalism. Your cover letter should include responses to the following questions:

--- Describe your education background. Do you have a PhD or a master's in economics, mathematics, physics or another discipline that would make your observations on current events valuable to The Wall Street Journal's leadership? Do you at least have a bachelor's degree in--like--anything?

--- Do you think that you could maybe troll female readers the way the Atlantic does (i.e. by stoking their anxieties about simultaneously being perfect career professionals, loving mothers and style icons, capable of effortlessly attracting, harnessing, redirecting and simply enjoying high-amplitude, high-frequency waves of lust and devotion, also known as their anxiety about "having it all."), this being as opposed to trolling them by merely expressing retrograde opinions about their gender? Are you at all capable of healthy interactions with women? Be specific and provide examples.
