We’re seeking town reporters in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. The ideal candidate must be eager to make significant contributions to a high-energy, robust entrepreneurial news environment.

Responsibilities

Knowing the assigned town as well as its key players and issues
Actively find, pitch and report interesting stories about the town and its residents
Tell stories in an engaging and dynamic multimedia format
Engage with readers via comment postings, Facebook and Twitter

According to a source, financial constraints forced The Daily Voice, a network of news websites in three states, to shut the doors on its 11 Central Massachusetts sites today. Representatives from the Daily Voice joined the Central Massachusetts staff today for its weekly editorial meeting and announced that the company was letting go of the staff for financial reasons. Seven reporters, one editor and a sales team were given notice.
