Here's an ad on the nondiscriminating JournalismJobs.com that claims a "relationship" with USA Today and Gannett "which could result in your work getting published in USA Today Sports." Bullshit, a Gannett executive told us on the condition of anonymity because the executive does not want to start a war.

There seems to be nothing about pay in the ad. We've made an inquiry.

Fred Reeder Jr., executive editor of On Campus Sports, responds:

Currently, we work with students and their schools to help them gain course credit based on the number of hours they work at OCS. Other students who cannot commit to enough hours for course credit contribute as they’re able.

At this time, students are not paid for their work. We do have a compensation plan we hope to implement this fall.

I've asked Fred to keep me posted on that.
