To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal Service: Examples of such experience may include: working as a reporter and/or writer in the news media and have written to developed professional materials that were disseminated through a variety of media, and developed and implemented media outreach plans and long-term communication strategies that included the use of such new/social media resources as Facebook and Twitter, among others.
