CNN NEWS EDITORS

The CNN Wire is seeking strong news professionals with a passion for excellence and
highly developed news skills to fill news editor openings in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and
Los Angeles. The CNN Wire is on CNN's editorial front line, editing and vetting the work of
correspondents and producers worldwide and doing original reporting for use across
CNN's networks and Web pages.

News editors ensure that CNN Wire stories are accurate, balanced, timely and compellingly
told, working in real time on the most important and interesting domestic and
international stories of the day.

Candidates should have experience reporting and editing breaking news in a major news
market. We are looking for individuals with the skills to help craft clear, precise,
compelling stories and the ability to act as an editorial tripwire on issues of sourcing or
ethics. Candidates must have a strong understanding of national and international news,
uncompromising standards of accuracy, excellent communication skills and a positive,
team-oriented attitude. Fluency in a second language is considered a significant plus.

The openings include:
-- Atlanta-based news editor/copy editors
-- Atlanta-based bilingual news editors, working with the CNN en Español newsroom to
get the top Latin America stories out to the English-language networks
-- Washington-based news editor, coordinating with CNN's Political and D.C. Units
-- Los Angeles-based news editor, focusing on entertainment news
