Why the Times went with an AP obit on Malcolm Browne I can't say, but you can't miss with a photo of a foreign correspondent in his trenchcoat. He's reading the World-Telegram and Journal-American, there's a Checker cab in the background and an old-timey bus [back when the driver opened the rear doors without you having to lean into them], and veterans had priority on city newsstand licenses.
