Joe Klein-the writer made famous when he copped to being Anonymous, author of Primary Colors-is leaving The New Yorker for Time magazine. Mr. Klein's hiring will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 4, by Time managing editor Jim Kelly. (New York Observer)

Didn't he work for Newsweek a few years ago? Do the two newsmagazines make a habit of stealing each other's alleged talent, however many times removed?

a-HEM. There are THREE newsmagazines. Yes, there is lots of incestuous movement among them, including many alleged talents. But some of the talent is real.
OK. I'll go back under my rock now.
P.S. Yes, Klein was at Newsweek previously.
[ December 04, 2002: Message edited by: SusanV ]

I apologize, Susan. I guess I don't think of U.S. News and World Report as being equally high-profile when I can't find it on a magazine rack anywhere in my town ....
I did notice, however, that my dentist's office had an issue from August 2001 when I was there a few weeks ago ....
No insult intended. Just how it is here.
