The ACES message board is in the midst of an in-depth exchange about how people some parts of the country call soft drinks "soda" and some call them "pop."

I think of this every time a pizza delivery guy gets robbed or killed, and try to imagine fitting "tomato pie" into the one-column head.

Not long ago a web site that keeps people in touch from my old high school did a little survey on what people called soft drinks. The choices were soda, soda pop, pop and Coke. The overwhelming favourite was pop which, as far as I know, is the common term across Canada. I've only heard it called soda in America. (I'm so relieved to finally get this off my chest.)
